The role of the Supply Chain team at Optima is to coordinate sourcing, contracting, purchasing and logistics functions for the entire organization. Optima’s procurement professionals take a total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) approach that considers the usage and value-adding aspects of a product or service in addition to the price.
This TCO approach and the strategic decisions that it necessitates requires full integration with other functional units, such as operations, maintenance, technical services, information technology, accounting/finance, environmental and health and safety.
